One of the key moments of Danill Kvyat's career. After leaving Chiesa Corse team in midseason, Russian driver joined Angelo Morsicani squad. That happened right before the KF3 Euro Championship finals.
Since the very first heat in the French town of Varenne which hosted the tournament, Kvyat surprised everyone with his good pace. In his first race with a new team in an unfamiliar kart, Daniil was challenging two Finnish drivers of the Maranello team: Joni Wiman and Aaro Vainio.

Third place in the finals has marked the beginning of the outstanding streak of the Russian driver: in the next couple of months, Daniil and Morsicani won several major karting tournaments.
We made agreements with Daniil just two weeks before the beginning of the championship. He arrived at the team's base with his father 15 days ahead of the start. We barely had time to order all the necessary components, but he impressed me with his pace. We had only one test day when Daniil could make himself familiar with the chassis, but at the end of the day, we were among the fastest drivers.

Last heat was very exciting. Daniil started from P8 but immediately made it to P3 and soon took the lead. Unfortunately, our engine has lost some power, so he lost positions, but still, I believe his pace was good enough for a victory. It looks like Daniil thought that it would be better to secure a good result in our first race. He didn't make a single mistake. Since that day we've won almost every tournament we entered.

We spent much time together. Occasionally Daniil stayed in my place, and I can say for sure that all he had in his mind was racing. And that made him different compared to his rivals.
